FMSC MarketPlace
Did you know that FMSC does more than just pack food? They also provide an outlet for clients to sell their products. For example, artisans from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, sculpt beautiful mugs from clay, water, oil and salt. Before families made these mugs, this same combination of ingredients was used to make clay "cookies" that adults ate to fill their stomachs when food wasn't available.
When people have access to food, they can become productive members of society. If mom's and dad's don't need to worry about where their next meal is coming from, they can focus on work, education and other issues that come up in everyday life.
Through FMSC's MarketPlace, you are given a chance to come alongside people all around the
world. Not only does the artisan get paid each time you purchase a product, but a portion of each sale also goes to packing meals for FMSC. One bag of coffee provides 33 meals. A soccer ball made by a 17 year old in Uganda provides 36 meals. A necklace made by women in Rakai, Uganda provides 58 meals.
As we come alongside FMSC through a MobilePack, consider purchasing incredible products made by men and women in Uganda, Haiti, Swaziland, and other countries. To check out FMSC MarketPlace, click here.
